Glycemic and insulinaemic response in horses fed forage-based rations with different contents of non-structural carbohydrates

The project was conducted in collaboration with the Department of Clinical Sciences, SLU Uppsala.
HUV's part of the project included investigating how sugar content in feed can be affected by different production factors and soaking.
In year 1 (2010) a small scale experiment was carried out in a laboratory scale, and in year 2 (2011) a feed production experiment was conducted in connection with a feeding trial.
