Multivariate Characterization of the Swedish Reindeer Husbandry Area
I have identified and ranked key-factors which affect and constrain the productivity of the reindeer husbandry. Through characterization the Swedish reindeer herding area based upon these key-factors a zone division of the area was made concerning reindeer productivity. Thereafter the Swedish reindeer herding districts were grouped based upon their resources and prerequisites to achieve a better understanding of the possibilities and constraints of the herding districts.
I have also developed a method to validate available forage on large scale which considers fragmentizing obkects such as linear structures such as roads and rivers as well as edge effects of habitats.
