Preliminary thesis title: Trade-offs in values for forest management and conservation
I am a PhD student at the Department of Forest Economics. My research interests are in natural resource economics and econometrics. Through my PhD research, I aim to understand how society values diverse forest ecosystem services and the relationship between these forest values, using economics and other social science theories and econometric models. My first paper deals with stated preferences and perceived values for spatio-temporal changes in forest management and conservation. Currently, I am investigating publics’ valuation for forest management in several European countries, taking into account spatial-temporal aspects and cognitive and psychological factors.
