Yeast in feed can improve immune function in fish

The yeast Yarrowia lipolytica may be of interest as an ingredient in animal feeds due to its favourable nutritional composition and content of immunostimulants. We have investigated how growth, gut microbiota and immune response of farmed rainbow trout are affected by the inclusion of the yeast in the feed.
