Focus areas:
To be able to learn from our work across contexts, we are running joint activities that synthesise and deepen our findings and translate them into outputs that are useable in policy and practice. Within our collaboration there are five, so called, strands in wich researchers work together with societal partners from different sectors:
- Environment in Environmental Communication (E in EC)
- Communication in Environmental Communiction (C in EC)
- The EC Textbook
- The Nature Interpretation Lab (NiLab)
- The Impact Node

Such joint activities include:
- The Environmental Communication Day: During the fall the EC-day is oganized and include workshops, seminars and panel discussions. The aim is to inspire people who work with environmental communication in different ways. Read more about EC-day under Event.
- The Annual Programme Meeting (APM): The Mistra Environmental Communication organizes one programme meeting per year. All partner organizations are invited, and the meeting offers both specific seminars for the the different work packages, but also seminars that are common for the program. Read more about the APM under Event.
- Program laboratory: A day full of workshops that cuts horizontally across the programme including participants from all sectors. The workshops will be thematic. Each laboratory will dive deeper into one of the five principles of the programme with the aim to further our jont analysis. Different inspiring and activating workshop methods will be tried out. The outcome from the laboratories could be for example: book sprints, novellas, debate articles or researchbriefs.
- The strategic reserve: This reserve is a sum of money set aside with the aim to support activities that go beyond the current programme's activities but that expland and enhance the programme strategically and in innovative ways. Read more about the strategic reserve.
