Removing agricultural residues as feedstock for the growing bioeconomy – efficiency of intermediate crops to minimize negative environmental consequences

Agricultural sustainable intensification and optimization of biomass use play a key role in the search for feasible solutions for feedstock provisioning for the bioeconomy. In this context, this Ph.D. project aims to estimate the potential contribution of a sustainable intensification strategy that combines the large-scale removal of crop residues and the use of intermediate crops.
