Litteraturöversikt hyggesfritt skogsbruk
Som ett stöd till Skogsstyrelsens och Naturvårdsverkets regeringsuppdrag publicerar SLU samlat ett antal vetenskapliga artiklar med koppling till hyggesfritt skogsbruk. Utöver detta har kunskap och erfarenheter delats löpande under arbetets gång och i september genomfördes en workshop där förslag och texter diskuterades.
Regeringsuppdrag som redovisas december 2023:
Skogsstyrelsen och Naturvårdsverket ska tillsammans utveckla förutsättningarna för, analysera och beskriva eventuella hinder för hyggesfritt skogsbruk, samt sammanställa kunskap om dessa metoder baserat på vetenskap och praktisk erfarenhet i dialog med berörda intressenter. Myndigheterna ska också sammanställa kunskap om innovationsarbete och affärsmodeller med avseende på hyggesfritt skogsbruk och kontinuitetsskogsbruk.
Skogsstyrelsen och Naturvårdsverket ska vidare föreslå en definition av naturnära skogsbruk som tar hänsyn till de jämställda målen om produktion och miljö, samt i relevanta delar, om lämpligt, beakta det förslag till vägledning av naturnära skogsbruk som för närvarande utvecklas av EU-kommissionen enligt meddelande Ny EU-skogsstrategi för 2030 (COM (2021) 572). Vid genomförande av uppdraget ska myndigheterna på lämpligt sätt tillvarata de kunskaper och den erfarenhet som finns hos Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet.
